I'm pleased to share that I'll be leading an advanced cyanotype workshop for Studies in Photography at St Monans Bowhouse in Fife on Sunday 23 August, from 2pm to 4pm.
The session builds on the climate-adapted cyanotype processes at the centre of my practice — working with water chemistry, plant matter and contaminated environments to let conditions physically shape the photographic surface, including work made with polluted seawater and salt residue on archival watercolour paper. It's the same line of enquiry behind my diptych And So I Watch You From Afar, which turns environmental exposure into both image and material record, and asks how photography might move beyond representation towards a practice of ecological care and responsibility.
Places are limited to 10–12 participants, so early booking is recommended.
